“You coax me
I don’t want to leave
The depths of my cave
But you coax me
You lure me
I don’t know for sure
What lies in the light
But you lure me
And where light
Meets dark
My toes curl in
Gripping the sand
With all their might
And where waters edge
Meets rocky points
Waves delight with
Foamy little bubbles
My resolve crumbles
You welcome me
Warmly
Into the salty sweet spray
You welcome me
You hold me
Wrapped in a blanket
Of seafoam so white
You hold me
In early morning light
You heal me”
