Oh yes, you read that right- La Bella Collaborative is coming back!

Once upon a time (when this website was fresher than a newborn baby) I hosted and featured bloggers, authors, artists, and activists under what I called La Bella Collaborative. La Bella Collaborative was also Facebook group, as well as a virtual contact list of all my friends and family who had beautiful words, important words, and phenomenal artwork to share. La Bella Collaborative only ended because I didn’t have the stamina for it to continue to grow, and a lot of that contact list started to go in different directions creatively.

I am excited to announce that not only is this site open for collaborations again, but things will look a little differently than they have in the past.

So… What is ‘La Bella Collaborative’ today?

La Bella Collaborative is the name for collaborative works/interviews/conversations and works created solely by others that will be shared here on La Bella Journeys. While these works will be displayed under the corresponding ‘Blog’, ‘Poetry’, & ‘Fiction’ tabs, the new ‘La Bella Collaborative’ tab will also host all these works in one place, separate from the usual La Bella Journeys writings. The new tab will also host writing prompts, creative contests, and different kinds of giveaways.

Every single collaborative or submitted piece will be linked back to the website and social media of your choice or to the type of account specified within the submission rules. While works from all ages and most mediums and genres are accepted, the content shared to this site is generally geared for 18+ and will not include overtly graphic sexual or violent descriptions & imagery. All submissions are subject to rejection or approval at the discretion of La Bella Journeys creator, Bella L. (yep, it’s me!).

I’m in! How do I get started?

As of right now (August 2023), there is no formal membership for La Bella Collaborative. This could change in the future. For now, here’s how you can get involved:

1. Watch the ‘La Bella Collaborative’ tab on this website for prompts, creative contests, and giveaways. These things will also be posted to @labellajourneys Threads, Facebook, Instagram, & TikTok accounts.

2. At any time, you can reach out under the ‘Contact’ tab or at labellajourneys@gmail.com. This is the perfect way to say that you’re interested in submitting a featured work or you are interested in collaborating on a work together. If you are a musician, visual artist, or not a writer but someone with a story to tell- please send a message!

I am so excited to be able to bring this back, to be able to collaborate with amazing writers and creative minds and to share my platform is such an honor…. one that I do not take that for granted.
