Hark, the herald angels sing,
Singing for the glory of the newborn king,
The radiant beams glowing so bright,
Shining bright into the desert night.

The Savior has arrived at last,
And so we celebrate and no longer fast,
We celebrate with drink and succulent feast,
Where all are welcome, the greatest and the least.

We celebrate with wreaths and trees,
Decorating them with gold and sparkling silver,
Attempting to imitate the glorious, sparkling crown,
That will adorn Our Newborn Savior.

While the Magi brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh,
We decorate in gold the green and mighty fir,
And while the angels sang the praises of the First Noel,
We carol in the streets with fiddle and bell.

And shant we forget during the most wonderful time of the year,
As families walk home together in the snow, holding each other so dear,
That we all remember the true meaning of the season,
And may it be remembered by every lad and every lass,
That love was born on Christmas,
And may the season’s joy always come to pass.
