Trapped In A Nightmare
I woke up swinging from a nightmare
Realizing I was no longer stuck there
Forced to rewatch the suffering
I endured in a most painful moment
The horror, no way to fast forward
Play, rewind, repeat your word
Dribbling out of my ears like soup
Can’t close my eyes, video on loop
How do I dump this trauma permanently?
Can’t seem to do it when it’s all eyes on me
Mouth locked on what I faced and I feel
Night terrors bringing back that evil touch like it’s real
I can’t cry- my screams locked up deep inside
I can’t run, I can’t hide, so I sit here and sigh
Replay stabbing my brain until the the pain subsides
Flashing back to a time when I thought it was mine
Realizing innocence is worth more
When it was stolen for life
